There is a big thread going on within my site about the whole Imus situation. I learned just now that he has also been fired from CBS Radio for his comments. While his comments were stupid they were no worse than the lyrics that black women listen to on a daily basis here in America from Rap stars. I just wanted to point out some great articles I came across because this is something I feel strongly about, that is the hypocrisy of black leaders such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

The greatest part of any of those articles above exists in the Kansas City link where the writer states:

and here is where Al Sharpton attacks the Duck Lacrosse players soley because they were white and the victim was black. Not having been proven innocent or guilty yet he, by default, stands up for the black stripper over the white lacrosse players.

Where is Al Sharptons apology to the Duke Players?

Did you watch the interview with Matt Lauer? Matt attacked Don with questions, which I found funny because Don Imus always says bad things about Matt Lauer on Imus in the Morning.

I honestly never listened to Imus. I'm just fed up with the double standards. Do you have a link to the interview? I am not going to defend his comments. They were stupid and wrong. However the crusade by the black leaders is hypocritical at the very list and shows the racism they have for white Americans.

Personally, I never found his show entertaining to begin with. I think it was a stupid comment and firing was a bit harsh, but he knew what he was doing. He knew he was about to say something stupid. It's his bad, not the network's.

I preach personal responsibility and accountability for one's actions. He should be held responsible and accountable for his actions.

You know the name of the game. You can call your brother an assh*le, but when someone outside the family says the same, well, it's time to swing bats to kneecaps. The same goes for race and ethnicity.

I could talk about my fellow Puerto Ricans all day long, but when someone else butts in with their two (non)cents, well, we're brawling.

It all comes down to MONEY. That's it. You can fold it and shape it however you want into "racism" or stupdity, but ultimately it will come down to money and IMUS in general is a tiny zit on CBS's giant ass. He will gone gone gone and without a second thought. No reason to even think about the reasons to keep him, when you can just move on and not deal with the problems he creates and would probably keep creating.
He made his bed and now he is sleeping in it. We live in a world that has gone PC crazy and if you step over the line you will be crucified publicly, and in this case rightfully so.

Me. It's the principle of it. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson can continue to preach their hypocrisy and call for every white man to ever insult a black person to be fired while they silently allow rap music to continue down the path it is on. That bothers me. It will always bother me and I will always call them out on it. Whether or not you think it makes a difference or not I'm not just going to shrug it off as "money". People out there worship the ground Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson walk on and give them the power they currently have. It's ridiculous.

Black people are always calling each other these racist names, but when a white guy says it, it's SO MUCH different? It really doesn't make sense. African-Americans fought segregation, and won, but somehow call each other the names they protested against several decades ago?
