Vista Installed...Now What?

Ok, so I just upgraded to Vista and have been poking around it some...It looks pretty cool and has a lot of features for me to try out, but I wanted to ask you guys what I should looking for.

Do you have any tips for getting the most out of Vista? Any good articles I should read? What do you like most about Vista...because it could very well be something I haven't seen yet.

Your lucky to have things actually work. When I got my new PC it came with Vista installed, but apparently vista doesn't support pretty much every bit of hardware I have. XD

That's just the thing, there's not much of anything for vista right now

Yeah, I have had just a couple compatibility issues...and that was with programs that I didn't really need anyways. I haven't had any major hardware or software issues so far. *knocks on wood*

well, don't play any games, and you will probably do well.

Vista has good features yes. But it is rubbish for stability and gaming.

But. On topic.

I did once search for stuff on Vista, I couldn't find any articles.

I'm playing games and working fine. Don't blame vista for hardware vendors not releasing good drivers. As for things, one of my favorite features is windows key + tab. Also there are all kinds of cool sidebar gadgets you can get from: http://vista.gallery.microsoft.com/v...aspx?mkt=en-us . Further alot of the features and nice things about vista are under the skin. Not so much of a "you can get or try out". Just try using your pc. The more u use the pc, the more you will notice it speeds up. The reason being is that it cache's your most commonly used files/applications in memory so they open faster.

I haven't gotten around to loading up any games yet...haven't had time

Windows key + tab rocks ...I thought the "Switch between windows" button was cool, but being able to scroll through them is even better.

I haven't decided whether or not those sidebar gadgest are really that useful yet, because it seems like a lot of that stuff I can get at the click of a button in firefox or even add to a firefox toolbar anyways, but we'll see as I get used to them.

I haven't used alot of them yet, But I'm using a rss reader and the clock. The clock is a life saver for me since I so easily lose track of time and hide my taskbar.

It's fun to see all of the hidden little things that you wouldn't expect... like using your scrollwheel in Flip 3D to browse through them.

And maybe I'm just crazy, but I love the subtle effect when minimizing.

I'm using Vista in Boot Camp (no driver problems for me ) - I like vista, it has superfluous graphics - you got Glass or regular Aero.

The first thing I did was download Firefox
