I dont smoke...for that reason and others. It's disgusting, it's expensive, and it's unhealthy. The only good thing you get out of it is relief from your addiction...and if you aren't addicted in the first place, that's ruled out

Heh. You also have age limit in the US? Great that you are strict that way. In Norway its 18, here in Denmark there is 15 or something.
I think its only Norway, Ireland and USA where you cant smoke in any resturants, bars, pubs etc.

And dont start. Its completly waste of money.

It's not outlawed everywhere in the US (indoors) but more and more places are ruling it illegal...just last year a 24 hour indoor smoking ban was created where I live

It's not just in every state...the smoking laws are city by city...So you could drive 30 minutes, be able to smoke there, drive another 30 minutes and not be able to smoke there

I'm not a smoker either. I watched my father go through some very tough times due to smoking and I learned early on that that was something I didn't want to do. Even to this day he has asthma and uses inhalers to help with his breathing. Not a fun outlook...

As for some strange "laws" that have been made in regards to smoking, last year there was a company in Michigan that banned smoking for all of their employees. They were a health care company and they were tired of paying the higher health care costs. Here's the kicker though, they didn't just ban smoking in the workplace. Nope, you couldn't smoke at home either. If you wanted to keep your job, you had to quit smoking altogether. I read that they had 9 employees that smoked when this policy started and by the time the date came that all employees had to adhere to the policy, 3 or 4 didn't and they did lose their jobs. Plus, there's no law against them doing this. Even though I'm not a smoker, I found this to be a little over the top. I enjoy the work I do and the place I work but I don't think any company has the right to tell you how to live your life.
