Hello!

Ok I have recently opened a site that sells website templates. But we have hit a huge problem. We have no way of supplying the download, we were using phpfusion but we couldn't modify it...

The plan is for users to navigate to the template they want and click purchase, after they have paid they automatically go to the download page to download it. Easier said than done... We have free downloads as well as paid so we cannot just modify phpfusion. We have tried a shopping cart... main problem there is it will not do downloads, it wants to ship it.

Does anyone know some software or a shopping cart that does what I need?

Which shopping cart did you use? Both of the two most popular shopping cart scripts (osCommerce and ZenCart) support file downloads, although after playing with demos of both, I will say that it's kind of a pain to do so. Basically it's done by adding a new product attribute called "file", and then specifying the filename.

It's not a cheap solution, however, it's one of the best solutions I've seen and many of the pay-to-download vendors I frequent use the exact same software.

If you have the money to invest, it's a worthwhile solution.

If you can afford it, aMember looks like a great script.
