New Reality Game - Gold Rush!

Mark Burnett Productions and AOL have signed a major production deal to develop a real-life reality treasure hunt airing exclusively on the AOL.com website. Called "Gold Rush!", the show will track real-life challengers searching for hidden treasure across the United States.

Yahoo Story

Sounds like fun. I'm in!

Man how long do you have?

I have seen a lot and I have been inside places that most people have never dreamed about.

On top of the Smith Tower in Seattle, not a lot of people know this, but there is an apartment in the very top of the building. At one time the Smith tower was the tallest building west of the Mississippi, at only 42 stories.

I have been inside Paul Allen’s Estate, can tell you much about that because of a confidential agreement. He had some pretty cool “secret” rooms.

I have found several “artifacts” before like old architectural drawings of famous buildings buried into wall cavities. I have a friend that found an old Ty Cobb baseball card inside a wall.

I could go on and on.

Here are some pre-bid demolition walk through stories from my site, about things and people they have encountered during on these walks.

Ooh, ooh! But I wanna hear the stories

Have you ever run across razorblades inside of walls? Old hotels for example...I know they used to be slots in bathroom walls. People used to use disposable razorblades back then and when the razors were used up, they would be put into slots in the walls to fall to the ground - stored in between walls. I never really believed this until I saw one of the slots for myself....Now I wonder what happens when people tear down those buildings...and there are hundreds, if not thousands of razorblades inside the walls - seems dangerous to me, haha

Yep, only a one time though, we were actually tearing it down completely so there was no hazard to our guys.

We have also found porn magazine collections store in crawl spaces. I was on once job where the people were evicted and we found a panty collection in what looked to be the son’s room.

I have also worked out at Kurt Cobain's old "retreat" house, tearing down and old 950 square foot tree house. Rumor has it that this was the last place the Kurt spent before going home and committing suicide.

There was a story up here not to long ago where a demolition contractor was starting to tear down a motel and they found a dead body hidden inside.

Enough for tonight, I got to get to bed. I will list some more later.
