I hate life

I hate life

I work hour's and hour's on my forum promote it and more promote it

Get member sign up say emails like i'm not interested in your forum, why sign up on the forum in the first place then when i send out my mail list every month

I get email like Listen if you dont stop spamming my email address i will forward this email to your hosting provider and get you cut off, This guy agree to recived admin email's

I get review's for my forum nobody ever review it or another people website get review

Then when ask for mods nobody ever reply or you get reply but then you have them there never promote like when you get email saying I will promote it. I pay £50 to www.theadminzone.com for advetise nobody ever sign up on my forum.

I pay £3000 for advetise, text links, vbulletin forum, vbseo, hosting and google ads, Noting is working

My grammer is rubbish too and never had success in my life.

I have work hours and hours and spend lot should get something out of it.

I did get some reviews but there where all off topic rubbish. Like this one http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=17908 the mod don't ever have a glue then when I said you give me the wrong tips this other guy said They are only trying to help. You shouldn't unecessarily lecture people who are trying to help you!

adminzone need sort out there mods and get pro people who know what there talking about.

Well don't take this the wrong way but you have to keep with fresh content. I see no new posts labeled (Today) as the last post. Maybe make another account or 5 and post with them. It takes time and you need something unique. Also you have done a lot of things to get members to come but not to stay and post. Maybe make a contest for free hosting or a domain or something like that. And don't get frustrated because the people at TAZ will only go to TAZ really. You should try post fusion here or link exchanges.

Good luck

-Adam

Jonathanyates, we are all here to help you. I am sure most of us have gone through this at one time or another. I was one of them about 2 months ago. Just keep at it. That is all you can do.

A couple of questions for you:
How old is your forum?
Also how long ago did you add Vbseo?

Also If I could, I would also like to make a couple of suggestions:
  • I would hide the “active members” at the bottom of your forum; you have 141 members and only 5 members are active make it look really bad. That is one of the first things I would do. When someone comes to your forum and sees you only have 5 members active, are they going to stay? I know I wouldn’t. Also hide the number of members who visited today. Same reason.
  • You have a couple of spelling mistakes and need to clean-up the upper and lower cased words, as well as some punctuation mistakes.
  • I would also suggest moving some of your forums around. Me personally; I would move your site suggestion, introduction, general discussion to the bottom of the board that way people don’t have to scroll through that to get to the meat of your forum.
These are a couple of minor suggestions that I would do to your forum. I am willing to help anyway I can.

I also agree with Chadwick on posting everyday, if possible. I see that you joined PostFusion, I think that will help.

Also maybe what you need to do for now if no one is join via TAZ is maybe drop your advertising for a little while and look at other sites to advertise on. You say you are spending all this money, are you tracking where your user are coming from? I also think it’s time to refocus your efforts on being more select on where you spend your advertising budget.

I have a couple other suggestions, but I think for now take a look at those above and maybe fix a couple and e-mail me or PM me and I will post a couple more suggestions.

KEEP YOUR HEAD UP!!!!

Sorry to hear about all of your struggles Jon

A lot of good advice has been posted, and I just want to reiterate the point about keeping your head up...we all go through bad times, some more than others, but one thing is always true - things will always pick back up.

I want to make copy a post I made elsewhere here at AF, I feel like it's appropriate right now.

Like demojames has said, keep your head up - at all times! If your forums are not performing as well as you want them to, that is fine and expected some times, as long as you keep working on them and actively seek new ideas.

I'll be honest, I've never been 100% satisfied with the progress of AF...I set my standards far too high, and for good reason. I wont ever be able to achieve what I would like in the timeframe I give myself, but it gives me something to constantly strive for...It is kind of depressing though, haha, because I never perform "up to par"...always telling myself this is not good enough, but the fact that I've set extremely high standards means that I am always, or as much as possible, putting as much time and energy into it as I can...to narrow the gap.
That said, if you just stick with your forums....be nice to the members you cherish and don't get angry at those who cause trouble. Respond to them in a polite, civil manner. I wouldn't count on it, but you might be surprised at how many people out there can be total jerks at one point in time and then become the best member in your community. It would be a shame to lose them before they ever get that chance.

Again, sorry to hear about all of your trouble - but keep your head up and dont give up. If the forums ever become too overwhelming, frustrating, or draining, take a break. If after that you still cant go on, you might need to consider selling them, closing them, etc....Creating successful forums is just SO hard to do, and it's not for everybody - some will hit gold, most will not get close. I would say only 10% of forums created ever really become a true success.

Keep us updated, and best of luck Jon!

After looking through your site you might want to try and make long stimulating posts. Not just cool or awesome.
