Good old phpbb free board in summer of 2005. We moved to vbulletin in August and never looked back.

I started with wowbb just over two years ago and upgraded to phpbb3 a little over two months ago and have not looked back.

Wowbb would be ok if it was open source but it really has very little features and is old software.

Originally I was on phpbb and then I upgraded to vBulletin shortly after. Then I had some db problems and had to start from scratch on vB again, lol. This was probably 2 years ago, the current forum after I had to start over 16 months old.

Invision Power Boards was my first... *shudders* and like Moel, I had some database problems and had to start from scratch with vB. Because of IPB I almost lost my entire community, luckily they all came back when I got the new forums up and running.

I used to make sites on Geocities when I was 11 and 12. They were just simple HTML sites and they never really got viewed by anyone except me. My first forum was on Proboards when I was 14 or so. I had about 10 members or so who followed me to another 3 or 4 proboards forums and my following got larger.

Eventually I was running a phpBB2 forum fully kitted with about 320,000 posts and 1,300 members but that fell through when my partner decided to just cancel my access to everything (which backfired on him when I stopped paying the bills) which killed that site.

That was when I was 16. Now I use vBulletin and nothing else.
