| Online Work If you have done some online work for someone and the agreement was that you would get paid by that person, you should get paid, correct? I have run into a situation that I have completed some work; however, I was not paid and when I sent messages to the other person, that person did not seem to respond to all my messages. I expected to be paid due to working hours on my work. What do you think I should do?

| Just to clarify, I am the one he is referencing. And you never sent me the psd. You sent me a gif or jpg online and I never got the psd for it. I'll send you something for your time but we also didn't think the design was up to par so we didn't use it. | ||||

| sounds fair to me. graphics is eye of the beholder type thing. i usually ask for some, or 1/2 payment up front. when i deliver if the product is good then i get paid the rest. if the client doesnt like it and we can't come to a agreement and they don't use it i don't expect to be paid. | |

I think that it is fair that I receive payment for the work that I have completed. It seems like I won't be able to get through you through PM so hopefully this would work. | I am a bit torn on the situation. Part of me thinks that because the client did not like the graphics, they don't need to buy them. However, what I see going on is a common case of: "We don't like it, but now we have it so we can tweak it to our own specifications and not pay the creator." I don't think full payment should be made; however, if you have received said files, compensation should be made to the designer regardless. But, that's just my opinion on it. | ||||

I also make sure that one has a good refutation before I accept... You can try to look for a job at Odesk website if you want to... I'm sure they will pay you
