Cuil - New Search Engine

Cuil launched last night. So far it's gotten a lot of negative feedback. Personally, I love the design, but there are some things that need work. My full opinion that I just finished writing is on my new blog: ForumEnthusiast Cuil “The Google Killer” Launched.

So, what do you all think of it? Will you use it?

I wish them luck. Their new way of displaying search results (like a magazine) is nice.

Lol they did a story about this on CNN the other day, this new search engine is a joke when compared to google or yahoo...

So far it is not relevant search results. first and foremost it has to produce the results people want. They have a long long way to go in my mind and it will be interesting to see if they even actually make it.

it is def not relevant yet. it seems that it takes a lot of stuff from other directories and search engine sites. i searched for my site abadss
abadss - Cuil

and it gave me listings like

"tunes.com - abadss
There were no results found for abadss. Try a different search in the search box above. related searc..."

"radio.com - abadss
There were no results found for abadss. Try a different search in the search box above. related searches"

doesn't seem helpful for the search engine to query other non relevant search engines for results....

another note, i do hope it works out primarily because google needs more competition.

Competition breeds better prices for consumers and more innovation

I sent them an email through their site to spider TBB and add us to their search results.

Totally with you on that point. I like google, but I will like them more if they have some solid competition.

I sent them an email about a month ago asking them to crawl my site and still not heard anything back.

I suppose everyone will be doing the same so can't really expect a quick response.
