It looks to me like PostFusion could do with a revamp to bring it up to new forum software, there seems to be a few (unanswered) requests for update to certain software. MyBB 1.4.x seems to be a current question. (RE: Post Fusion and MyBB 1.4?)

At least I know it's spelt "and" and not "n" I do not whine, I get my point accross in a different manner, which is designed to annoy the reader into admitting the facts. (seriously, you'd be surprised how often that works, although some people are just too serious to understand it)

Also, I saw you replied to the MyBB topic about PF, so glad to see thats being worked on.
Perhaps you should work on getting new unique content, such as skins/themes and articles.
Secondly you should also consider start an advertising routine on something like Google Ads, Bidvertiser, etc and advertise the PostFusion part of AF that way, it should certainly get alot of views world wide. (Presuming you have the funding for that)

your replies in general show my point.. as for seriousness, your picking apart my method of posting as well instead of just moving along. i am not the only one that feels this way. perhaps folks should review their "methods" and see how well it works. i know of a few who have stopped posting here due to your "method". you surely got something "accross"

It's true, keeping this clown around because he cleans up spam or whatever is going to get you one of two things - flame wars, or people turned off by a management that allows someone acting like an ass to survive and thrive. No one with a serious interest in building relationships with other admins (which is the only reason to post here besides advertising) is going to want to participate or feel it is worth getting involved.

As much as I don't agree with Jolteon's methods I'd appreciate it if we focused on the question presented "How can we increase traffic here" and not a bash on him thread. I've looked at pushing postfusion a lot harder and that's something I know we need to work on. Lets get some more creative juice flowing here...

It's not my fault...

When you lose old members you lose traffic. The question of how to increase traffic was asked, and an honest answer was given. I do not see it as a bash, but as truth.. If you have a member or three that drive away your "established" (for lack of a better term) members, then that is an issue. How you wish to deal with it is your prerogative obviously.
This site is for site owners, administrators, staff etc.. most folks who are "serious" about their jobs do not want to come in and watch pre school bs fests in posts. We come for a more adult level of sharing information.

Until you see a change in those type posts, folks will look around and leave. You will not get the word of mouth traffic between site owners either.

You can have all the contests, gimmicks and hoopla you want on a site. Yep you will probably get a temporary traffic increase, but will it remain?

If asking an obnoxious user to calm down and stop running off users is bashing, then so be it...

I don't post here anymore for the reasons Liz gave. I don't care about contests or gimmicks. I don't care about tagging threads. It's fine to have off topic area to hang out in every now and then but that seems to be the main focus here.

While Post Fusion is nice, I don't care about it. I'll never use it. What I do care about is intelligent discussion regarding forums. That's something that has been missing here for a long time.

While it's cool to have a hands off approach of moderation on some type of sites and it would be nice it everyone was mature, obviously somethings need to change here regarding the way certain members act. Stop letting little kids run their mouth and be smartasses and maybe this place will attract a few more mature people that actually want to learn about being a forum admin.

Hate to be blunt but you keep asking and people keep telling you but nothing ever changes.

Like Liz says, we don't need gimmicks or fancy skins. I'd be perfectly happy with a default vBulletin skin on this site if it had the information that I needed.
