| agreed. It is largely if not completely my fault for many of the problems that exist today on this site. There was a lot of resistance to me when we took over largely because we implemented so many changes so fast. We also did not keep up with stimulating posts and posting as much as we should have. Really, i should have eliminated the constant harping, complaining, and carrying on about everything that was done. I generally only ban people when they are out of control and i didn't want to seem like a dick banning people who have been here for a long time. but i really should have taken more control of the situation than what i did. The constant harping and complaining about anything and everything was really de-motivating for me and other staff here. Again its not an excuse or saying this is justified or anything, its just how the situation was. On top of this we really had/have too much stuff going on for me or the staff in my office to give this site the attention it needed/needs. I have been in the process of offing or wrapping up many of our other projects and we've started to get more organized so we can give some of the projects that need more attention, more attention. On our other forums, 90% of the activity is user generated. On abadss.com for example i could not be around for weeks and the site could run on fine. Granted there are over 300k members, but it is a completely different dynamic. There have been numerous problems with Post Fusion too which is why we have been very lax in promoting it. Larry has been working on Post Fusion over the past few days and we feel we have most of the kinks worked out. Anyway, i just want to let you know all know i hear what you are saying. I think the problem members situation has been handled, we got the postfusion situation handled for the most part (if you see more issues, please let me know), we have a renewed momentum going forward and are aiming to keep it that way. Thanks for your continued support.

Title: Veteran Join Date: Jun 2006 Posts: 585 Location: New Delhi, India ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | As a member who used to visit and post in this forum almost every day, to the point I actually wouldn’t visit any other webmaster/admin forum to a member who rarely visits and posts these days, because I somewhat feel disconnected and here is why: Ryan used to be the driving force here and it was his personality and ability to get people to share and ability to generate some really impressive content, which got the ball rolling in the first place, no wonder then that people miss him. This theme makes my head hurt! If I actually have to go around hunting for content then I would simply head over to another place which had similar content but all in a more presentable and readable format. I personally feel that if you actually revert to the stock vBulletin theme, people will actually start participating more! For heavens and AdminFusion’s sake, read this article which Ryan wrote, When Modifications Become Overkill I know you guys have been promoting the forum and Postfusion quite a bit, but frankly the main driving force for your promotional campaign should be the actual forums, because while the Postfusion will get people here for post exchange and would make them register, it wouldn’t make them start posting it here. And frankly if you know you have been ignoring the site then start paying attention to it or sell it to someone who would, before it actually drops more in value and ends up being a greater loss! | ||||
