Safest SUV on the road (VIDS)

Take a look at the crash tests for this SUV. It's made by a Chinese car production company...

Wow, that does seem bad. I wouldn't buy anything even made by the same company if I saw those videos first.

Even though that was bad, I bet this image looks worse.

Nope. That's what happens when you drive a Pontiac Sunfire into the back end of a semi. The car is low to the ground anyway - which is probably what saved my life. Long story but basically the only part of the car that wasn't crushed was the drivers seat.

I was driving about 45MPH when I slammed into the back end of a semi. The truck driver had stopped on a busy road and unfortunately I didn't notice until it was too late. This was in the early morning and I was trying to merge. I looked away from the truck to merge and before I knew it, I was at its bumper. I try not to drive around semi-trucks anymore.

You must keep in mind that the Chinese have just started producing their own cars and it's simply a question of time until their cars will be as safe and sophisticated as Japanese, American or German cars. It was the same with the Japanese car makers before they entered the US and European markets. Nobody would think they would ever be able to do that but they did. The Chinese are very good at copying technology and developing it even further. Wait a couple of years and you'll see what I mean...

They actually have great cars already. Do a google search on Chery cars (very similar name to Chevy). They are very similar to Lexus's for about half the price. They are suppose to be in the US very soon.

I think that crash test video was actually a car that was never approved for the road. It was like a beta crash test.
