In all seriousness

This bill states that it will ban ALL replica firearms from being sold/manufactured and imported in to the UK - and includes all toy BB guns. Why, you may be wondering, will this affect you? IN essence it won't. But it WILL destroy a sport that has been growing over the last number of years called Airsoft. This sport uses replica guns - firing small plastic bb's - for military sims and wargames and the people who take part in this sport are from all walks of life. While all airsofters understand and agree with the reasons for the VCR Bill, they are concerned about what will happen to their sport if the bill is issued as it stands, and with this in mind they are looking for an exception for Airsoft Sports - be it by members having to have a licence to hold and use these replica firearms or whatever means the Government deem fit to keep track on who has what. While I imagine none - or very little - of the people here take part in the sport, the Airsoft community is looking for the support of all people in the hopes of swaying the government into giving their sport a reprieve and giving them a chance to continue their gaming with whatever restrictions are needed to ensure public safety at the same time. So I'm requesting you guys show your support by filling in the support form (it costs you nothing but your time) but ensure you select "no" in the requesting for membership information box unless you want a letter informing you of information ... the address contact is compulsory to fill in, but so long as there is text there (just put the url of Best-Boards in there, so they know where you came from) the form will process. It's just to show there are people out there who support what they're doing. The form is located at : http://associationofbritishairsoft.org/support//aba_support.htm and should you wish to find more information on this bill and airsoft in general, you will find it http://www.associationofbritishairsoft.org/ Thanks for listening! Azh

Surely they'll take into consideration societies like this and issue a license agreement stating the guns/sport can only take place in designated areas etc. What about waterguns and paintballs guns? Some of those are now done in the style of real weapons. Will we be the first country to ban waterfights? ![]() Here's hoping lol because i always come off the worst ![]() I'll visit the site

The way the bill stands at the moment - everything from military simulations to the £2.99 plastic toy guns you buy kids would be illegal. The Association of British Airsoft is meeting with the government tomorrow to put forward their arguments for exemption.
