I know what you all mean. My son is only 3 but only seems like yesterday when i was bringing him home from hospital. He comes home from nursery every day and its amazing how much he has learned in a few hours.
I also have a stepdaughter who is 13. Ive only known here since she was 9 but even that short space of time is amazing how fast she has grown. From the innocent little girl who liked dollz to the teen who is into boys. Kids do grow so fast.
I know when i was pregnant, people told me, enjoy them as babies as the grow up really fast and i didnt believe them but it is so true.

Aww bless Tigger... 3 yrs old eh, I bet you're loving helping him grow and learn. They are soooo like sponges at that age yeah, they are constantly exploring, listening, learning etc its great to watch.

My wife would love to see you around on her child development site - www.rainbowsunbeams.com. She runs a pre-school nursery for under 5's and is always looking for people from all over to join in with the convo's and chatter etc. Feel free to seek her out... her name and alias is Jen, she'd love to see you there and share your childs' growing and learning experiences.

Well, I myself do not "have" kids (I am a mere twenty years old) but I can remember both my father and mother remarking of how my sisters and I grew up so fast.

I personally believe my father remembers my birth real well only because my mother had grabbed him by the throat and was yelling great obscenities to him during the delivery.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. Between my father and I, we've had so many confrontations and speeces, I cannot line them all out and take a head count. Yet, I talked to him anytime and everytime I could. It's a bit trickier now that I'm not living in his house anymore (moved up here with my mother just last year) but he and I still keep in good contact. I suppose it's because we are both men -- and what I'm going through right now is neck-and-neck to what he's been through (maybe even still going through), and I know I can go to him.

I'm not saying my upbringing is the worst, but I know the times where I have been very disrespectful and in turn, had my arse beaten religiously but I realized that it was for my own good. Yeah, I didn't talk to him right afterwards because I was angry, not with him but myself, and hell -- that episode clears up quick.
