i have posted a couple of topics about this.. but none of them have solved my question.

so basically i re-installed my xp- due to a virus.. and me being an idiot lost my cd that came with my graphics card/sound card.

My sound card was created By genius. if you need their site i will provide.

Basically what i want is a program that can detect what graphics card you have!! or a graphics driver that is suitable for all graphics card...

this is what happens when i try loding WOLFENSTEIN.. if it helps.

All major graphics drivers support OpenGL, that is if the graphics chip supports the API. So you really need to know the graphics card name so you can download the correct driver. There's no other way that I know of.

If you don't remember the card name then you're in quite a pickle. Try opening up the pc and check in the PCB of the card if there's a sticker or something that says the videocard name or at least the graphics chipset or at the very least some product ID number that you can check in the company website.

I thought I sent you the exact driver for your gfx card. Perhaps you just made a small error in installation.

@ gprime, no you didnt.. you sent me a list with like 1000 cards on... and i got confused.

@ hellboy, i have tried that lol.. there is no sticker.

Well that's because you never told me the exact card you have. If you tell me what you're running, I can probably give you the exact patch.

And thats the problem, he doesn't know and he also doesn't have a way to know the card model and without that there's no way to really help him.
