Say if someone offered you $120,000 or so for one of your websites (if you have or don't, pretend), but it generators $400/day. Would you sell out or would you continue to work on your website and someday generate that much revenue in a day? I'm not a sell out, and I don't plan on becoming one. Money doesn't buy love.  | ||||

| This is a good question. It depends man. It depends. Since we are pretending we have the skills and dedication to bring a site up to the point of $400 daily revenu, then logic dictates we can use those same skills and determination on a new project. It's a win-win.

| If your are bringing in $400 daily, that totals roughly 12K a month, no way would I sell. I have heard that you want to sell a site at 6-8 months revenue. I would want at least 125-150K to sell. | ||||

Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 10,246 Location: Athens, GA | bah, demojames beat me to it...when I saw those numbers, I was like "NO WAY would I sell"...I think I would be a sell-out if I did sell my forums making $400/day for $20,000...lol However...using realistic numbers...I would not sell my forum for what it is worth...because I'm not interested in the money...but that's not to say that I would never sell my forums. If I were offered 3-5x what my forums were actually worth, there's a good chance that I would sell them...because there comes a point with an increasing offer that you would almost be foolish *not* to sell.

| At $400 a day, you will make the $20k in 50 days time, less than 2 months. I would never sell for that low of an income multiple. Bad idea...

| and theres a good chance the money your currently earning (say if it was the $400 a day) that the money your earning daily could increase over time if you worked hard to improve it. $120,000 does sound tempting for a figure...  | ||||

| For $120,000 I think I would sell. Because with that much money I could start up another project and have much more money to spend on bettering the forums.
