HELP! My internet won't let me play RuneScape!

I am trying to play RS, but my internet won't let me. See that x at the top? That's all I can get. I can't play the game. Can someone help me get rid of that so I can play it?

Try Active X, Direct X, Make sure any plugins are working correctly ( by that i mean browser plugins) try using a program to PING an address, to check it can connect properly.
