So when the PC boots up, you choose whether to load up the XP OS or the Linux OS, Or is Linux allergic to the word Microsoft?

I'm glad you chose Ubuntu, it's a great distro and I think you'll like it. Also, not to direct you away from here, but the Ubuntu forums are really a great resource, a lot of people really know what they're taking about over there and it's so big with so many users that you get a response very quickly. But if you'd rather just ask here I'll try to help out, I love Ubuntu and had a lot of problems installing the first time when I installed the previous version, so in turn I learned a lot about these kinds of problems

Linux really doesn't run games, that's why it's nice to keep Windows around. There are tutorials to run some games through WINE and there is also Cedega which costs money, but will run pretty much every game for Windows. | ||||
