Linux (Ubuntu) & Windows

Is it possible to install Linux (specifically Ubuntu) along with Windows XP.
So when the PC boots up, you choose whether to load up the XP OS or the Linux OS, Or is Linux allergic to the word Microsoft?

Did you burn it as an image, or did you just burn the file? You have to select 'burn as image' so it created the live cd, not just burns the file.

I generally don't game on ubuntu. I know there are ways to get games to run smoothly on Ubuntu using Wine, but I have used wine and it didn't run very well the first time and when I found a how-to for getting world of warcraft to run smoothly I couldn't get something to work right. So I still have my windows partition for gaming. But it is possible to get a lot of games to run under ubuntu.

I'm glad you chose Ubuntu, it's a great distro and I think you'll like it.

Also, not to direct you away from here, but the Ubuntu forums are really a great resource, a lot of people really know what they're taking about over there and it's so big with so many users that you get a response very quickly. But if you'd rather just ask here I'll try to help out, I love Ubuntu and had a lot of problems installing the first time when I installed the previous version, so in turn I learned a lot about these kinds of problems

If you can't figure it out, you can always order a cd from their website, it's free I believe...

Linux really doesn't run games, that's why it's nice to keep Windows around. There are tutorials to run some games through WINE and there is also Cedega which costs money, but will run pretty much every game for Windows.
