Quite amusing story...got back to my computer to find several msn messages from a fellow admin on my forums - I've never been all that comfortable with her as admin (she has the tedancy to get a bit personal + involved) Anyway....whilst "playing" with ban control she banned herself from the forums. I now don't really have much confidence in her being an admin - especially with the popularity of the site and the amount of mods i have installed. But i wanted other peoples opinions

Do I keep her as an admin or demote her to plain user / or moderator? bearing in mind she will not like it.

Ban her if you like to.

If you don't want her to know, just say some mods are causing problems and unban does not work on admins.

And say sorry.

I would recommend you to unban her and make her a moderator or a super mod.

Obviously she doens't want to be there if she banned herself, I couldnt imagine doing it by mistake. It really depends on her personality and work effort if that is lacking just move her back to being a forum member.

Put her down to moderator, tell her she can be an admin once she knows how.

Well either you demote her as an admin and see how's things going. If she's still abusing her authority then strip off her status. Get another to replace him/her.

Simply we can't have people who can stay on netural ground to be administrator.

What has happened since making this thread?

I went through a similar situation, I just made her a SuperMod without all of the power. She have very little access to things and the things she does have access to, won't hurt the site too much if she plays with it all LOL
