Why don't people shut up with their graphicaly-insane-high-tech-games!?

Ever since I was like, 5 years old, my favorite game have been Sonic the Hedgehog. My favorite character is Tails. I have an Emulator in my PC of the Sonic collections. (I think it's illegal.) LOL, but so what?! I broke my Sega Game Gear long time ago, so I just play it in my PC.

I was so good at it back in my childhood days. I could finish the whole game (imagine the levels and acts!) in an hour! Non-stop! Game Gear don't have "save" so I had to finish it or start all over again. I don't like the idea of pausing the game, just let it running and have a break. I have to finish it or start all over again. That was my attitude back then. I can't do that now. I'm too lazy. So what I do is simply SAVE (I'm using emulator, remember? And get back to it later.) When I was playing Sonic back in childhood, I can get the 7 emerads in seven consecutive acts! Believe it or not! (Excluding act 3 of course, act 3 is always the boss for that level and there's no chaos emerald there.) I forgot how many levels are there, but I can get the seven chaos emeralds in acts 1 and 2 of level 1, same as level 2, level 3 and first act of level 4. That's a total of seven chaos emeralds in 4 consecutive levels! I feel bad if I don't do it in consecutive way, so I restart again. LOL! Yeah, that was my attitude back then! Imagine, I was only 4-5 years old then! Now that I'm old, I can't do that anymore. If I could talk to my kid self, he would be laughing at me now. LOL! So that's the story of my Sonic days. What's yours?

I had Sonic 1, Sonic 2...Sonic and Knuckles (?)...Sonic CD (?)...loved it. I grew up on Super Mario Brothers and Sonic...and I never really got into the whole xbox/PS2 craze...I stopped at PS with Metal Gear Solid, another

Ooo i used to love sonic, i had it primarily for the Sega Megadrive, But ive now got Sonic 3D (perhaps this is what you meant Ryan, not CD) and thats on PC

Nope, just looked it up to check...what I'm referring to is indeed Sonic CD - it was made for Sega CD...the crappy system that nobody else owned except for me

I was always a Mario kid, I never really played Sonic that much until my little brother got that Sonic collection thing for his Gamecube. I really don't find Sonic all that interesting.

My younger brother played Sonic on our Sega system all the time. I thought the graphics were amazing (back in that day). I agree with Ryan though and I stopped with Metal Gear Solid as well. That was a GREAT game in my opinion!
