| Customary Introduction Thread Hey all, I guess it is customary to make your first post here and say hello and introduce oneself to the adminfusion community. I guess, also, that a little bit about myself and my admin experience and such like is required. Assuming that to be the case, here goes. My name is Alan, I go by AzH on the 'internetz', and I currently run AzHforum.com. It's a fairly new community, less than two months in but going strong. We have about 230 members who have made 1200+ threads and close to 30,000 posts. Not bad, even if I do say so myself. I guess I owe most of my success with AzHforum to the place I gleaned most of my admin experience, GamingForums. I spent three years as one of the Senior Administrators there, so you could say I have experience. Things don't always work out as they should and I quit recently, quickly setting up AzHforum and capturing a great number dissatisfied staff and members from the old place. It would not be unrealistic to say that 90% of the members on AzHforum are from the old place. Like I said, I owe much of my success with AzHforum to GamingForums. Well, I'm an outspoken little bastard to be honest and I will call a spade a spade and a nobhead a nobhead and I don't mind putting my arse on the line for something or someone I believe in. I always worked on the principles of doing everything you do as best as you can, and of standing by your friends and beliefs despite the shit you may have to put up with as a result. I have made enemies a plenty and friends too during my time on the web but I can say now for certain I would not change a thing. I have joined here because I feel I can help other people. Other forum admins who may not have the same experience that I have but who have the same desire to succeed that I have. I would be happy to help anyone who was also prepared to help themselves. I don't think that is too much to ask. I can't stand leachers who expect someone else to do all the work for them, but if someone can show that they are trying their best I'll be happy to go to great lengths to help. Fair? Uhh, that's it. My apologies to those dirty perverts who were expecting Donkey Porn. What kind of sick bastards are you!? | |
