I've been trying to get the latest 10-20 threads/posts shown on the right sidebar on the homepage (notice the huge white gap?), but not much luck.

Initial Impression:

wow its really nice! theres a welcome header the forums dont have posts from weeks ago which is nice and everything is really nice

Organization and Feel:

The organization is nice, theres a good amount of forums and everything about it is great, I dont really know what to say because i like it all

Skins and Modifications:

The skin is nice, the colors are good i like the soccer (football ) balls as the new post indicator images (i don't know what those are called haha)

You have a welcome header which is good! and you have a favicon which is another good thing! most people dont have them

One suggestion i have is that i think you should add some more to the sidebar because it seems a little empty maybe a latest posts or a stats block like AF has

Guidelines and Staff:

I don't see any guidelines so i think you need to get them ASAP!

theres only you (im guessing your dan even though there is a b0o member) as the staff which is fine but you may want to look into getting a moderator just so they can help you with some of the things and they will post more then members (well they should ) so it will be more active

Looking into getting some staff implanted as soon as the forum hits 100 active members, I'm pretty lucky that some of my members have already PM'd me asking for the promotion.

I was thinking of adding a cloud-tag script similar to what you guys are using, as well as that darn recent xx posts thingamabob.

Never been a follower of rules and truthfully, I cannot remember the last time I read or even took notice of a forums rules, let alone other kind of websites. However I do like to think of myself as the forums leading example (setting the benchmark) and I honestly don't think I need to tell people how to behave, it's pretty much common sense.

However this is my first time running a forum, so perhaps that'll be my downfall.

On a lighter note: Setting up my second forum tonight.

I have never reveiwed a forum before, so don't know what the rules are. But from a US based, womans point of view your forum looks very nice. We call that soccer here but I get that football it is in other countries. LOL

I like your skin, and how your forums are set up. I "get" the name of the forum..so that must mean something right?

I do think forum rules or guidelines are a good idea. As your forum grows you should be prepared for the inevitable and some basic play nice/no spam/etc is always a good thing to have up.

once you get that sidebar thing worked out I think it will look great!

heh. So guidelines done and added the latest posts (finally). Want to give that sidebar something more though, any suggestions?

If you've even watched skysports news, I'm thinking of doing a side/under bar like that, however not really sure how that'll work yet.

Also, do you suggest removing the what's going on box? I think I should or atleast try it out and see if the registering rates improve.
