First thing i saw when i came onto your site was your logo, Which made me have mixed feelings straight away, as i knew it was going to be a phpbb board by the size of the text. But i think you have done a good job with the design. Its not something i would use, but again it suits the theme of your board. The welcome text i think should be replaced with an image then a link to your register form, its always alot better than text and is more welcomeing. Make sure it blends into the theme though.

There dosent seem to be any modifications at the moment, except your atwiki, which i cannot comment on at the moment and will not be included in my review. I do think that you have cluttered the right hand side forum space a bit, you should move whos online to the bottom where it normally should be and birthdays and user stats. And just have your ads there, and affiliate links and login section.

The rules/guidelines are easy to get to and they are clearley stated, so there shouldnt be any valid reason for breech of your rules. I can't see your staff list, if you could provide a staff list then perhaps i might bump your star up to a 4, Your choice.

I don't like the organization much, as i don't like the things on the right hand side, it clutters it to much. I also think that you should change the navigation fonts and perhaps make them a tad bit bigger. Your navigation bar is okay for people who already know about forums but for new time people it dosent really stand out. The forum oganization is good.

That doesn't make it okay though...I'm with bdude, I'd strongly recommend that you either remove that hack or make sure that it's very hard to "discover"
