On entering the forum I was expecting to find something that related to the subject choice of the movies but there was nothing there. The banner is very plain and doesn’t stand out like I think it should. Maybes you could hire someone to make you one that related better to the movies, just some simple additions like actors / actresses pictures or movie scenes would make it explode so that any guest is immediately aware what you are about. The forum markers are in the same boat as the banner, stock images really do not fit with specialist forums unless it is a themed style. Getting someone to make you some markers will really add to the overall effect of the forum, something simple like the piece of equipment that they use at the beginning of each scene (Sorry don’t know the name of it) would look good. Overall the design is poor in my eyes and could do with some work, but it is much better than the standard VB style. I would maybes implement some of the above ideas and it would push it onto the next level. Features and Modifications Category Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (1/5)Category Comments: The first modification that I came across was the Welcome Header. Greet! This is a proven modification that entices guests to register however the text that you have entered into there is unless I’m mistaken the default text. You should edit that so that you make it suit your forum maybes include what features that you have included in the board so that people don’t have to spend time trailing through the forum to find out what’s on offer. Also I don’t know if it’s proven to help VBSEO but common practise these days is to turn that text into an image to find out how to do that check out this thread at VBSETUP that’s a really great article. Other than that I couldn’t see many other modifications to review so I had to leave it at that. But the basics all seem to be working flawlessly which is always great to see ![]() Guest Friendliness Category Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (4/5)Category Comments: The forum was very guest friendly and I was able to view the threads and content without any hiccups but maybes you could limit that in order to increase signups? Often by having a great first couple of posts available in a thread with the rest hidden will encourage guests to become members and keep them coming back for more. A lot of the posts seem to be one or two liners though which put me off a little as a guest I would have liked to see some more in-depth reviews or conversations about movies rather than just the “I thought it was ok...” Kind of content that I came across in the few posts that I did spend time reading, between you and your staff you could write a review each a week and build up constructive content in no time at all. Guidelines and Staff Category Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (4/5)Category Comments: Your staff seem to be very active within the forums which is a good thing to see them leading by example, and with the lack of spam and general tidiness of the forum it looks like you are running a tip top forum. Keep that up! I couldn’t find any rules so if they are present if you can point me in the direction of them and I’ll read them over. If you don’t have them I would suggest you get a few basic guidelines in place for your forum members. Organization and Navigation Category Rating: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() (4/5)Category Comments: The organisation and layout is very basic and easy to use which is something most forum owners struggle to achieve so I think you’ve done a good job with keeping it simple. However the amount of forums that you have for the level that your forum is at for me is too many. You could reduce the amount of forums by making sub forums within one main forum. For example You could have Movies as the main forum then the different Genres of Movies as the Sub-forums this would reduce the amount shown on the forum home and I think make the front page look more presentable.

Gimme an hour or so and I'll track down the mod and find out where it is. I think it might be an option in the admincp > VBOptions Then scroll down and I think its in that list somewhere, if not I'll find it soon.
