Initial Impression: My first impression of your site was that it was both cluttered and active - a combination I rarely find. The colors were a bit dull, but effective I suppose. Fairly active with a large post count.

Skin and Template: Somewhat dull yet it works. I'm not sure I like the whole red, white, and blue look you seem to have with the forum, but it isn't anything wretched. Good overall.

Logo and Graphics: The logo and graphics could use a little work. They look to plain and simplified. I can't say straight up you should change them as they are strongly relevant to the content and theme of the forum, but you might want to consider a bit more custimzation - perhaps paying for some graphics, if you have the funds.

Forums: The forums on your site are very detailed with specific car models and whatnot - a bit much for a non-car-junkie to comprehend. Good as a whole with good content and decent, clear descriptions.

Rules and FAQ: There were no rules or FAQ that I could find - perhaps registration is required.

Recommended Changes:

1) Cosmetic changes. Make it look good - color scheme and graphics.

2) Rules and FAQ.

It has a Rules section but the link is only viewable when you register: http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum-rules/

Thanks for feedback. I am not really concerned about the style of the site. I tend to find Ford Mustang owners do not really care how fancy the design his hehe What I have now works well imo. Most of my members love the Red, White, Blue theme and it kind of goes good with an American made car.

Again thanks for the feedback though!

First Impression. 4/5
Well, when i first saw your forums i saw that it was very active. almost 300k posts. i noticed the forums looked very well layed out and organised which looked really proffesional.

Layout, Skin, and Images. 3.5/5
I liked the skin. i think it could do with a bit creativity in it. It goes along with the forum content, but needs more detail and a bit more attractive imo.
the banner was the first thing i looked at so got a good idea what the site was about but looked like it could do with another picture. maybe of an actuall mustang somewhere up there. you could make an awesome banner relating to your forums i can just imagine it.

Activity. 5/5
The activity level on this forum looks extremely high! you have a lot of dedicated members here it looks like with over 500 active! your post count is very high for a 3 year run. good job!

Navigation. 5/5
the navigation on the top with the mustang related links is nice, i like it.
the navigation for the forum looks organised also how its just under it.

Overall out of 4/5
You have lots of activity, dedicated members, well layed out forums, nice appearance, and im sure this forum will grow for a very long time. Great job.

there isnt much really you have to change imediantly but down the track it could be option to change the banner and some other logos and gfx.

Excellent well thought-out rules.

As for everything else, if it works - don't change it!

Bama,

First let me say that I am partial to red. If you don't mind my bias, then please continue reading my post.

I notice you have a fixed width page, with the extra margin on the right hand side, instead of being centered. I am curious as to why.

I notice you use table layouts, and not css.

you have several google ad blocks, but the ones on the left aren't seen at the same time the ones in the middle are, so that's okay.

I like the navy blue and crimson red colors. I like how the left menu items get highlighted in the same navy blue color.

I like that you have chosen a non-serif font. Curious as to why the logo font doesn't match them. The navtext font is spaced at .1em and it makes it look unique.

The links on the right bar have a different font, and are bold. This doesn't make it look simmetrical to your left bar.

I feel that the rounded edges of the category titles does not match the square edges of your tables. You could try changing one to fit the other.

Gotta love the photo thumbs!

Overall, I give it an A minus. (A-) It looks really good, and I love the colors, however I think it could work out being centered on the page, and needs symmetry.

Makes it easier for me to control the look of the page and allows me to place the ads in a way that they fit in perfect.

I have not taken the time to properly learn CSS and right now its on the bottom end of my too do list. Tables work for me now but sooner or later I will redo it with CSS.

Yea I think they blend in as good as they can and still turn a good CTR.

Thanks me too.

Logo was done awhile back and was not done for me. Unfortunetly graphics is on my "need to get better at list"

I'll see what I can do about that.

Yea I was thinking of rounding the tables off in the upper left and right.

That you do... especially the first one

Check it out now. Centered it and gave it a background color of the navy blue
