I'd like to get your impression of my site, http://www.theaussieaviator.net

It is highly modified and the latest two mods I have added is a group map, where users can put a pin on a map to show thier location and also a quiz mod.

I'm always thinking of new things to add to make it interesting for current member's and any future member's.

Initial Impression: Great. I usually don't like PHPBB, but this one is great. Probably the best i've seen. (phpBB wise).

Organization and Feel: Wow, the feel of the forum is amazing. A great community, everything.
I also really like the donate option.

Skin and Modifications: Skin is original, so thats great. I think it is advanced mod wise. The photo album mod, the portal thing, amazing. Great. WAY above avarage phpBB wise.

Guidelines and Staff: There are no guidelines, so that is the worst thing about it. The staff are okay I must admit, but the rules, you need some rules.

Recommended Changes:Rules needed. I cannot find them. I would suggest that most.

I have to agree with Adam. I used to be a phpBB kind of guy, but as I've been on this site and stuff, I've grown to appreciate VB more and more. However this site does do pretty good with phpBB and I like the layout. I love the little airplanes that you use to show if it's a new post or not; I definitely like that a lot. It's a cool site and should continue to grow!

Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it. I have worked hard to modify it and am continuosly trying to rack my brain to bring new features to the site. It has come a long way in just over a year and a half.

I have been reading other reviews about there not being any rules. Where would I out the rules? I'm not too sure of what I should say in case it might scare potential member's away. I listen to all suggestions so am just asking for your opinion about these rules.

Ah, well, just go with what you feel is right.

Example:

My board's rules are, :

Okay, our rules are strict. Anyone disobay them 3 times, they are out.

1) No inappropriate material, or content.
2) No illegal content.
3) No harassment.
4) No flaming.
5) No spamming (bumping, and multi-posting included, see below).
6) Stay on topic.
7) No trolling.
8) No whining.
9) No begging.
10) No announcing
11) Submitted ideas are free to be used by Arrow Six Flash Productions™
12) Signature Restrictions (700x700, file size 1000KB or less) and Rules
13) Account Responsibility - Protect your password; keep it updated.
14) No hacking.
15) No multiple accounts.
16) No plagiarism.
17) Read and follow staff messages.
18) No backseat/mini-modding.
19) Staff can delete or lock messages at any time.
20) Foreign Languages - not allowed without translation
21) Other Rules - Listen to the mods. Do not use loop holes. Mods determine what is considered flaming, spam, etc. (more in the section)

Initial Impression
Well the first thing I see is a large logo, then site news, then stats, then a login box, then finally the forums! I would slim down the top part a bit so you can see the forums easier.

Organization and Feel
I would move aviator discussion to the top of your forum list because that is what the site is about. I think you have a bit too many forums but they are all relatively active. Besides that everything feels and is organized very well.

Skin and Modifications
I like the light sky blue, and it fits very well with your theme of flying. You have a customized favicon and icons. I like the sidebar and the navigation in the sidebar. I think the quizzes and gallery are a great idea for a flying site. I would also consider trimming down the logo size.
Guidelines and Staff
You have a good amount of staff only 2 so that is good. I couldn't find any rules so I would add them.
Recommended Changes

-Slim down the top header
