It is unfortunate that people don't choose the software because of lack of user support, but I would probably do the same thing. Once MyBB becomes more popular and gets a larger following people will start to make more mods and themes for it.

We also talked about a Modders Doc API but again I doubt that would make much difference. The reason I think SMF/phpBB are more popular, atleast partly, is because they are on Fantastico on cPanel. We inquired about this but they said when version 3 came out we'd be able to make our own and I guess they'd add it once we made our own. I'm not sure though. But yeh... as time goes on we will all get bigger.

There's been an inability to attract talented "modders" (or whatever you wish to call these folks). Many have left. Few have come to replace them. Free or not. Doesn't matter. It's just not catching on enough nowadays for modification makers and theme designers to make the switch and/or contribute to MyBB, I guess. I has very little to do with the developers or the current modding community (the 2 or 3 that are actually active), themselves. It has a lot to do with forces that can't be controlled or predicted by anyone at this point. Doesn't make it any less of a quality piece of software and doesn't reflect on the developers, but it does frustate many.

| Yup, that is what I was getting at. MyBB has to get more people to help out with skins, mods and those things or chances are they won't grow as much as they'd want to in my opinion.
