I completely disagree. There will always be room for improvement or new ideas.

Indeed. There will always be new ideas for forums, they will continue to grow and develop for many years I think.

Yup, I agree with what's already been said; new features will be added, and continuous improvements will be made to forum software, seeing as web and coding standards are constantly being changed and/or modified in one way or another.

Yes but how many features could you possibly think of to come standard in a forum software?

Understand that goodies and extras are nice but a lot of the time people see them as necessary when they aren't and they actually overload the forum.

I'm not saying it would be any time soon by any means. But there are only so many things you could do with a forum.

Oh, quite a few features, especially with the changes being made to the web today.

Well if everything does get added to forum software then we might run out of basic features to add but we might not

I don't think that we'll "run out" of features, per say, but as time goes on, and web standards continue to change and/or develop, new possibilities will arrise.

I guess it also depends on how the software was built in the first place. Like a computer, there's only so much hardware you can fit in the box before you have to get another one. A lot of the time extra features just can't fit in with the way the forum stores it's information and accesses it.

Yes agreed, eventually too many features could bog down how it loads.

My forum is a completely customized WOWbb board. custom colors, icons, forum images, etc. You can check it out at http://www.TVandDINNER.com/forums

I really like the software for all of the built in features. There are a few mods that just don't exist for it yet, but in general it is pretty good in my opinion.
