I have to say this because it is hysterical to me. First you go out of your way to harass me instead of checking on your Styles site which had hours-old spam on it as the only posts that day. Now, looking at the time stamp of your last posts here, you are going out of your way to engage me instead of checking your eCuffo site, which has been severely hacked since no later than 10:30 last night. Mat, from now on, PRIORITIZE and put me much lower on the priority list, please. That was my original point to you. Stop focusing on negative baloney and baby tactics that go back for months, and AT LEAST FIRST check on all your sites and correspondence left by people. While you were busy with me making excuses for bad behavior, one of your members reported your eCuffo site hacked: eCuffo - Forum Building Help - Users - WowBB Styles

Now, let's call a truce, get back to business, and support wowbb and each other moving forward. The games are absurd, old, and you really do need to prioritize better. Every time you engage me I go check your sites to see what I know will be bad prioritizing and neglect and guess what, I find it. Time to end this "popping into threads" juvenile stuff with me please? Truce? Let's be friends like we used to be for crying out loud?

I was aware of it being hacked well before that. We are switching hosts because it's the host. Thus the link removed in the sig here. Please don't come at me with stuff you don't know. Secondly, who's harassing now? You came back to this thread to, I guess, try to embarass me but only embarass yourself.

Good day.

Mat, you went out of your way to provoke me before deleting hours old spam and at the very least, you didn't even reply to your hacked-aware member before bothering with me again. That is just this week. It has been going on for months (including doing it while more important business is left unattended). Are me and my posts that important that you have to continuously enter threads just to say juvenile things to try and provoke me? The PMs? The joining of other sites as aliases? I provided links earlier in this thread of your harassment just on this site if you forgot what I am talking about. From now on, stay away from me and my posts, period. Otherwise, you are guilty of what I say, aren't you? I haven't once entered a thread out of the blue to provoke you or start trouble. Can you say the same? No, of course not, because you are AOK with juvenile behavior, hiding behind your computer screen. The paper trail I have on your harassment, making wowbb and Aycan look bad, is sizable, and it will be exposed fully exposed to Alper and Aycan (and plenty of others for that matter) the next time you annoy and harass me.

Frank do what you want to do, that never stops you. You throw temper tantrums when you don't get your way. Send whatever it is you want with this paper trail that you have.

Can the 2 of you please stop. What you may or may not realize is that this entire thread takes away from focusing on the actual WOWbb program. It is if both of you just wont let it go and have to have the final word.

Frank - please don't respond to this post.
Mat - please don't respond to this post.

This way my post is the last one in this little spat and we can go back to talking about the ACTUAL WOWbb program. I will make another post after this one to get the thread back on topic.

Today on the official WOWbb site they announced officially that Beta testing will begin on the new version. Here is what the announcement said.

Quote:
Hi everyone!

I am very excited to tell you we are going to start the beta testing of the new version on March 15th. I am very pleased to see that a lot of people asking to be a beta tester of the product. Thanks for your interest and for your patience. I will send further information to beta testers via PM just before the launch.

The new version is a true web 2.0 product. It has great social networking tools to create an active community around your forums. We have spent a lot of time on the interface overhaul, and I think we did a great job! I am very proud to see that we are redefining the forum landscape. Personally speaking, taking an active part in the design of such an inspiring product has been a wonderful experience for me. Now, we are counting on you to unleash the full potential of the new WowBB.
Hopefully this new version will incorporate all of the great existing WOWbb features with the variety of things that had been missing from the core program. I am looking forward to seeing the new version when it is released.

I was in on the alpha testing, I am sure many will find it to be an interesting version/upgrade.

Well about time for the upgrade although I won't be returning. I think Wowbb is 'dead' anyway and the future of that software lies in WowClassic as it blows wowbb away.....

Plus wowbb is lacking a large mod community and other than a few token mods on their site. The only other mods available which are mostly standard with other software cost money.

I don't know off hand any other forum software that charges for mods, but I could be wrong.

If you are going to spend a 100 bucks go with WowClassic or spend the 50-60 extra and get VB or IPB.

I can't speak for the owner of WowBB but I think he realized that people wanted variety and the franchises that he allows will create a variety of options available but for the same great price and backend that WowBB provides.

Your right about charging for mods. I don't think they charge for the simple ones. I think this will change over time with more users using WowBB. If there were more programmers using the software like PHPBB and vB, you would see the mods break loose. I am wanting this to happen. It would relieve stress from the few modders out there right now. I think the reason that we charge is because of the lack of modders. If there were more out there, we wouldn't be able to charge.

Somewhat of a catch-22 I guess.

Wowclassic is good but i think wowultra is better - for a start the basic skin is so much nicer.

Wowbb isnt dead but it is changing and im not so sure for the better either!. I like the software and simplicity of it, and its track record for producing busy forum is impressive, so ill be purchasing wowultra.

I know there is a third wow franchise coming out at some point as well.....

Wowbb through its going to a whole new area.
