Loading Java windows in Safari and Firefox...Help!

Hey. I go to this chat site that has webcam broadcasts. It is all Java run and this is why I have a problem. In Safari the main java section where the lists of rooms are is totally white w/ a little Java Coffee cup in the corner...so I try the site in Firefox. In Firefox the main list of rooms loads perfectly, I think this is going smoothly...then I go to click on a webcam (which would pop up in a new little Java window) and the window comes up completely white..not even a little coffee cup. I run Mac OSX 10.4.11 and it's a Mac Book Pro. I have the java aplet.plugin and the javaplugincocoa.bundle in my internet plug-ins file, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea why this happens or any suggestions to fix it? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
