![]() | Conquering Texas 22nd Among the local races holding primary elections this march is the significant race of Texas 22nd Congressional District. The congressional district is known for its conservative values and is seeking a leader who can stand up for these values. This calls for a leader who belongs to Texas and has his or her loyalties within the district. The district needs a leader who is pro-active and efficient. The upcoming elections are their opportunity to take the district from the hands of Washington insiders and lobbyists to someone who belongs to Texas. This is because only a person who has stayed in Texas can understand the common problems faced by the residents and come up with a perfect solution. Such a person will have his or her loyalties within the state. At this point of time when the country is going for election, it is in the hands of the citizens only to bring about the desired change. This change the residents want in the form of better policies and laws. Currently the country faces many challenges which include issues like higher taxes, illegal immigrants, global terrorism etc. There is a great demand for reduction in the high taxes paid by the families here. This calls for policies that can help in sound fiscal management. Illegal immigration is the other problem faced by the country. To protect the country from illegal immigrants, a comprehensive immigration reform is desired instead of blanket amnesty. The issue of national security is also prominent and the fight against global terrorism must continue to keep our country safe. Although there are many known names contesting the elections, Dean Hrbacek figures most prominently along them. The former Mayor and Councilman of Sugar land is credited with making Sugar land, a premier community in Texas. He wishes to achieve the same status for Texas 22nd in the Congress. His contributions in Sugar land include of Tax cutting, bringing the University of Houston at Sugar Land, surface water transition, expansion of I-59 Town Square etc. among many others. |
