Maybe you should think about starting a private server or sell links to those who are

I think this new source of traffic will cause me to start selling advertising sooner than planned, I think I will hold off for a bit though, I still want more active members.

Wow, that is interesting. I've seen a similiar forum, with a quite a lot of members online, but I've never seen them post.

Nice one on the free traffic lol. I have a few mmorpg fansites and still get people now and again registering and saying stuff like "ok now wheres the download?" assuming it's a private server. No idea why, it's in our rules that they mustn't even be discussed.

Just wait for all the private server owners to start spamming your forum with links :/

btw, topsites like those are usually packed with private servers and if your site is listed amongst them that's probably why people think it's a private server.

Can't wait. :/

And yeah they do have a lot of crappy sites but I'll take any links I can get right now. The alt text for the buttons says stuff like private server and thats why I'm ranking for private server search terms, it just amazes me that when people get to my site they still think its for private servers. And what's even worse is when they post, because most of them seem to pick any random thread to post in instead of making a new thread in the right section. Before I was responding even if it was in the wrong place but I got sick of it so now I just delete their post if its hijacking a thread, its not like I'm losing a member because they were never there to post anyways.
