| well with what i said above i am in no real need to switching to another forum system another MAIN reason is that both my site and forum are 100% integrated with each other which means that when you join my site you also join my forum auto

| It's a pointless question really, ask 5 people and get 5 different answers. Try them and see what works best for you, easy enough with the free ones. The paid ones are slightly harder if you don't have a budget just for testing but the reality is, they aren't all that expensive.

     | For a free script, I would use phpbb... I've messed around with smf and mybb, both are nice, but phpbb has a far larger support community IMO. For a paid version and really the best! I always suggest vBulletin. cheers -Brandon

| This seem's to be a topic discussed on many forums, My personal opinion for free software check MyBB - Free PHP and MySQL Forum Software or if your budget allows then vBulletin® - Instant Community, I'm not sure why anyone would pay for IPB it seem's bloated and doesn't feel right to use. |

| My vote is for PHPBB, I have been using it for almost 4 years now and wouldn't change for anything.

| vBulletin allows for more customization in templates, hacks, and style which leads to more user satisfaction overall, and a more respectable community. Most big forums that want reliability and a unique name/look go with vBulletin.
