Invisibility

Do you have it so that members can put themselves on Invisible on your forums?
And, WHY do people put themselves on invisible in forums? I don't really see the point of it.

The only time I've put myself on invisible was when I was talking to people on msn and said I was going to bed but I wasn't really quite yet, and they were on the forum too but I had some stuff I wanted to read on there, so I put myself on invisible.
But I have some members who are always invisible.

I have it so members can make themselves invisible. I'm not really sure why they would though but I guess they should have that right as a member.

I've never felt the need to make myself invisible on a forum. I wish I could do it in real life though!

I personally never use invisible, whether it's a forum I own or not. I know I've heard multiple times when a tech admin would be invisible so they were not bombarded with PMs, but as for regular users, it's their choice but I don't know why.

I could not understand why anyone would want to be invisible so I deleted the option. I like being able to see who is online anyway.

I always disable the feature. No reason to hide your presence unless you are up to no good.

I allow my members to browse hidden if they want to. I don't ever wonder why they are doing so either. Its none of my business really and perhaps they are just browsing the forum hidden because they don't feel like talking to anyone. I browse my forums hidden myself sometimes because every time I am online, I tend to get PM's from the members. If I am in a bad mood or dont really feel like doing anything but reading topics and lurking around, then I will go invisible.

I allow it but as of right now, those who do it are usually spammers but they are not invisible to staff
