Wordpress Support

Yes this may surprise those who use it as only a blogging tool or only know it as that. In the near future it will become and is already fast becoming the number one cms on the net.

I am including a request here for wordpress support for postfusion. I use the simple forum plugin that you can preview the layout by adding dot com to my sn.

If you will add the .com/forum/pf_pickup.php you will soon understand what my trouble is. I am thinking that it will need some double integration with wordpress and the simple forum together.

The latest wordpress is 2.2 I have yet to upgrade but plan to sometime. I appreciate your efforts in supporting as many scripts as possible. You will find the proper link to the pluigin via the link at the bottom of the page.

Link me to the forum addon, please

The reason that pf_pickup does not work is simple...It is not designed for Wordpress. Did you expect to download pf_pickup for another forum software and expect it to work with Wordpress?

There is no link to the plugin/bridge in your forum.

Once again, link me to the addon please. We are willing to support more software, but you must be willing to put forth a little effort also.

Ryan, I believe he is speaking of BBPress, which is the forum add-on for WordPress.

I've never personally used it, though it appears to be a very simple system, much like that of WordPress.

No Sir..The direct link which can be found by visiting my forum page and looking at the bottom is Simple Forum. All you need to do is install wordpress then add the plugin and figure out how to code support for wordpress registration and the plugin together. Hopefully the link will help out better.

Edit: As a side note you may want to look at coding support for both plugins as I am sure they work somewhat differently.

Sorry, but Simple Forum is far too small for us to provide support for it. Looking at their support forums, it looks like only a handful of people use it, and they don't exactly have an official site for it.

If we are going to support new forum software, it must be more widely used than Simple Forum.

Please do not look only at the sp plugin site. Keep in mine that Wordpress has unlimited support at the main site for such things. I will be extremely disappointed should you not include wordpress.

Compare the use of vBulletin, MyBB and phpBB, just to name a few, to that of SimpleForum.

SimpleForum simply doesn't have the userbase to warrant PostFusion support. I mentioned BBPress as it does have quite a following and is very customizable, however, the forum software supported by PostFusion isn't third party software, it's direct (just as BBPress would be).

At the moment, you're the only one requesting the addition. If you had multiple others requesting, there may be a possibility, however, I do not see it being added right now.

Jonathan nailed it

Simple Forum is far too small for us to warrant support
