Nice site..

I am currently developing a couple of sites (in java) with a pretty basic forum. I was wondering if there is anyway I can use the post fusion system. I can handle the coding if there is any instructions available.

Thanks

I do not work with the PostFusion system so this is just assumption

I don't think that would be possible, they do not want to release their code (obviously, because it is base64 encoded) and the fact that you would have to connect to their db and what not.

You might be able to, if their was a staff member who knew Java fluently. I know Java to the point that I can create a stand alone window and possibly draw a few drawings but that is it.

You might just want to participate in a post exchange?

It might can be done, it just depends on the final product.

Essentially what we need from your forums is a MySQL database and a PHP configuration file to tell us how to access that database. I'm not the tech guru, so I will leave the details up to LarryB and awibble , but I can say that if you do not have these two things, we can probably not do it without custom coding of sorts...but again, wait until one of our other admins comes in here to comment.

Well, this is going to have to be a job for larry to look at i think, as java is one of the languages that i carnt even do a hello world in PHP, asp, CFML, perl, actionscript, javascript... just not java...

The only issue that i have with it is that if we cannot code it ourselfs, we cannot do updates etc.
