Downsites in PF

I was wondering if there is a way you can add a feature that will mark a forum as disabled or just planly remove them, If they are unaccesable for a certain period of time. I have tried two websites today and they are down. One has been down for more then 24 hours I believe. I don't think it is far if they post in your forum and you are unable to post in theres.

I don't mind them posting in my forums, but I don't like the fact that they post in mine using up my credits and I am unable to do the same for them.

Have you thought about this before or have any ideas on this?

Until then, I'll go through the sites and clean them out shortly...I did that not too long ago and I should probably do it again.

Ok, I've gone through and removed 9 forums and sent the owners a PM. I've also got a list of about 15 forums which are still listed but do not currently work. These were either time outs or forums under construction. I'll continue to check them and if they aren't back up within 3 days, they will be removed.

Larry should have something this evening or this weekend which will help us keep a closer eye on these "down forums"

we have 3 more sites: webmastervilla is parked, linux server talk is brand new with not posts and members and webmastersfreed won't load

As I already said, I have a list of 15 or so forums which are either down or under construction - I am continuing to check those over the next few days. If they do not come back up, they will be removed.

As far as linux server talk is concerned - we do not discriminate against brand new forums with no members or posts. If you can't post there, then you do not have to...but as long as they are capable of receiving posts, they will be included.

Isn't that the purpose of Post Fusion. To help grow new sites? But a feature that would enable people to report down forums would be great.

I just love how fast you guys answer questions and requests. And even more than ONE mod/admin/developer, it is great. I will be pointing people to this place often

Of course, you've got to remember that servers go down and come back up again... some of us are running on terrible hosting

But if they are not up once in a week, you can assume that the forum's gone.

Yeah, we give a 3 day window. On the second day the owner is pm'd for information as to whats going on.
