PF has abuse report system, but can PF also have something like reward system? For example, this member http://forum.yetanotherfcw.com/searc...uthor=ghostman made number of quality posts like the followings:

I really like these posts and I appreciate his taking time to do this. Can we have some kind of reward system? Doesn't that facilitate PF to encourage members to make quality posts in a positive way?

Interesting thought...would like to hear other opinions on this as well. The big goal behind PostFusion is to give posts back to those who deserve it most...and up to this point that has strictly been on numbers. I would be willing to look into rewarding people for quality posts by giving them more credit, because as you said, it would encourage people to make quality PF posts.

The problem would be creating a good system for this...how do we decide who to reward, how much are they rewarded, how do we prevent abusing the reward system, how are people actually rewarded - with a higher balance?

How about something simple like a five star ranking system that you can link to a post and give points for. That way it is seen what the points are for.

Not sure how to discribe but along the lines of and option where you can click on a user here and add a link to the post on the PF forum and either add a plus/minus point like the reputation or a rank of say 1-5 for the post.

I need to take time to think about details, but the core idea is this. You always want to bring up the over all quality and productively by rewarding those who do well instead of punishing those who do poorly. PF essentially only has the latter system right now, and I do believe it is necessary to a limited extent, but members should be focusing on something like reward system, IMO.

I like the idea by ohc but what about using what's already in place? How about using the Trader Rating system? I know it's not specific to PF but it is a rating of that individual. Either that or somehow make the rep point system work in favor of PF as well.

Couldn't the reputation system be used as is? It was Your comments on this post: option, can't this be used for external posts as well as internal??

I think rep here would be the simplest way. Default rep gets default credit. Bad rep gets less credit, etc.
