| Ryan, just for clarification. the Teen Element site just dropped from 100 to 7 in literally 10 minutes. How is that possible? ANd on the At a Glance screen a new user jumped up to 505, and over 200 higher then anyone else, out of nowhere? Again, just checking things out and reporting unusual stuff. | |

Up until then, ratings were not actually weighed according to ranking of the forums - now they are. Cole made a lot of posts at the #1 forum, which earned him a lot of points...This is something that you couldn't really take advantage of up until now because we had that multiplier turned off while the # of forums grew...but you can now take advantage of that. Like I said, post at the #1 forum and you will rise quickly...You'll see the same effect for #2 and on, with decreasing impact.

Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 10,246 Location: Athens, GA | I should add - The way we have designed this, the first few days are going to be strange...It will take a while for everybody to get a good feel for how this actually works, but that is how it was designed...As we continue to move on, everything will stabilize more. We will be able to see where we need to place more emphasis, and you will start to learn how exactly to best use the system...Who knows, there may even become a strategy for PostFusion  but so far, there have been 0 bugs with how ratings are being calculated.

| I will add that I spent 9/10's of the time working on the actual calculations. I'm fairly confident in the actual calculation process. The other 10% of my time was spent on the look and feel changes, thus the reason there were/are some display bugs.

| almost the entire ChristianUtopia site is links to other forums. Literally every single post is from another site link? And you cant even post on those sites without joining the other sites that have nothing to do with post fusion or even the ChristianUtopia site. what gives, looks strange and a little suspect? And since it is probably not real, posting on it, as the highest board...is pointless. | |

| After using it for a while, I had the number one spot, but now I'm at a negative rating. That is so weird. Now I kind of like the old system better. I'm not trying to say that the new system sucks because I got bumped way, way down, but it's just confusing trying to figure out why. I might just go back to regular exchanges in the forum. :\
