You are not going to be able to reach #1, do nothing, and stay there. That's how the old system worked, but that's not how we think it should work. It is just as easy for you to regain that #1 spot as it was for you to lose it.

I am still completely failing to see what you are talking about. Again, with the exception of "Synergy" at ChristianUtopia, it appears to be no different than any other forum.

Be patient. Your's can be explained. We did not have the forum ranking weights turned on as we didn't have enough forums to make it worth while when you made most of your posts. When we turned it on you got hit with forum ranking bonuses. This should all start to even out with in the next 24-48 hours as you post more.

As I mentioned, the new script is much more efficient...It was difficult for us to gauge exactly how efficient it was without seeing it in a live environment, but we have had the opportunity to do that now. We have changed the update time from once every 10 minutes to once every 5 minutes.

This should now be corrected. Had to do with a join on the posts table and the fact that we are handling data in the posts table differently now. Thus causing an appearance of a forum for every record in the posts table.

I'm having problems subscribing to any forums. When I add my name and click 'Submit' I just get this and it just hangs there. Is anyone else having this problem or is it something I've done wrong?

I've also tried suscribing to forums and I get that hanging icon too.

It was alright yesterday when I signed up to one forum.

this morning I went from a 100 rating to a -37 rating within a 10 minute period and my unadjusted balance went from 877 to off the chart. during that time I was posting on other boards in the PF system, yet I made massive jumps down. Does not seen correct...

I never said I wanted to stay #1. All I implied was I wanted to at least stay in the top 5 or 10, but I got bumped WAY down instead. And no, it was not easy to get that spot. I literally spent an hour in the morning (before I went to school) and about 5 hours after (when I got home) working in my up the ranks. It's not gratifying knowing you just got bumped off the top 10 in literally less than 10 minutes.

If you give your customers/participants no real measurable way of showing results for their efforts, and their efforts seem to work negatively towards achieving any type of goal (in this case remaining at or near the top of the list)...you have confusion, ambivalence, and sometimes people not participating.

wouldn't it just have been easier to make the PF system one that required you make X amount of posts each month (or week) to remain active in the system. That was the problem before. People would join, maybe participate for a little while, and then not make any posts. So you just simply make everyone have to make a minimum of 25, or 50 or 100 (or however many you set) posts per month to continue participating. If they don't make the required amount of posts they fall off the list completely and have to post to get back in again. For the people who ARE posting you rank them based on how much they post, etc.

For the past 2 days I have posted a lot on boards above me and boards below me on the list. The only thing I can see so far is that you are not rewarded for posting. You actually can drop down the list if you are actually posting. that makes no sense at all.
