Sorry, just seemed relavent at the time

And I'm starting to really see where your coming from with this and thinking that maybe 250 is to high. Considering the whole purpose of PostFusion I think it worth considering maybe lowering the limit to 150 or even 100.

Larry wanted it at 150 or 200 (meanie!), but I didn't want to make it too low for now...it can always be adjusted in the future, so it's probably better to start on the high side than the low side and see how things go from there.

Can you please elaborate. "i think this is totally unfair" is completely unhelpful for us to understand your thinking. In order for us to try and make this "fair" we have to have an understanding of what folks feel is unfair. What I think is unfair is looking at the numbers I just pulled to show where some ppl are out there posting like mad and getting little in return. Lets take for instance the top 2 folks in the system.

Posts Made: 914
Posts Recvd: 263

Does that look fair to you? there are some folks that have received almost 3x the amount of posts that they have actually put in to the system. How fair is that to the folks that are putting an influx of posts in to the system?

You have a minus 100+ balance and you are complaining about a limit on the POSITIVE balance?

And to the above post about my new forums, I realize that I need to put much more work in them but I have more pressing matters. The slowness of my balance reducing does not concern me, and I have not done much posting for a while now.

Well i only have a minus number because i cant find a way to block post fusion from counting! There should be a way to de-activate it temp, without deleteing, or unsubscribing anything. And people signed up to my forum for postfusion without even telling me! that is unfair, there should be some way of blocking people from signing up, unless youve agreed to let them, so you know who it is, so you can post in theres!

Larry and I have already started discussing a balance "floor" also to prevent anybody from going past -25...which would solve that problem that you are mentioning and probably help to lessen the ultra-high balances also...but there remains a problem there, one which we plan to solve with a cap - we understand that you do not like it, but have still yet to hear a better suggestion.

You can tell exactly who signed up in your forum via my sites screen. Clicking on the number of subscribed members shows you all the names of ppl subscribed to your site. From there you can see in ALL Sites who it is. We will be making the interface by which you see who is signed up to your forum much better in the next release, it is on my list of things I want to work on.

Here is my solution:

I think the owner / admin needs to be a subscriber to their forum as well. So if the owner is posting at their forum it will take a point off of their PostFusion balance for every two posts they make at their forum. Once a positive balance of 250 is hit then a review is in order to see if the owner is actually posting at his / her forum. If the owner isn't actively trying to better their community a penalty is given to this forum and half of their points are taken away.

Another review should happen in the negative post range of say -25. If a owner / admin is contributing to their forum regularly and still no posts occur at that forum from other PostFusion members clearly there is something wrong with the forum or topic and this forum is placed in a forum betterment program to help this admin better improve his / her forum.

When you go negative that means that PF members are posting at your forums. The problem with negative forums is that some have received upwards of hundreds of posts but have not put posts in to the system.
