| Actually ohc and CultZero, technically this system hasn't been working for you all that well. Look at your balances. You are providing posts into the system helping other admins that aren't helping you. And I'm one of them too so I'm not trying to hide. What I'm saying though is these changes will hopefully help you guys get the posts you deserve. The way I see it is when someone gets down in the negatives and has the chance to lose all their subscribers, they'll return to PF and start posting. Hopefully they'll like the content of your sites to choose yours as well. The people that are less interested in PF really won't return anyway so it won't be a big deal to see them drop off the list.I do hope this works for several reasons but your opinions do count as they may help to change things for the future. Hopefully all of the top forums start to lose their balances which ultimately is what you should want. It's nice to put into the system but you also need to receive some too.

| Title: Apprentice Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 213 Location: UK ![]() ![]() | I have been dissapointed with the performance as far as my own forum is concerned and I wonder if that's a common problem or something just on my side, i.e. not enough activity or something. I don't see how the changes will make people more likely to post on my site, after all, it's designed to make it easier for other sites to reach the top of the list more often which will mean less posts for my site ultimately.

If you aren't below 250 there is no way anyone will ever reach the top. The only way you get below 250 is if someone posts on your site to drop the balance. Oh just spotted a bug. Postbits balances are not updating @ the same calculation as the all sites list. Will fix that this evening.

Title: Apprentice Join Date: Feb 2006 Posts: 265 Location: Massachusetts, USA ![]() ![]() | I posted at your site, and it seems like the majority of the users are from postfusion. In fact, I posted over the course of two or so days, and there were no replies to anything. Today there seems to be replies however. You need to get activity from more than just postfusion in my opinion. | ||||

![]() I've said it time and time again...PostFusion is meant to be a supplement to already existing posts/activity in your forums...it is not meant to be the sole source of posts. I haven't checked out CultIdols, so I do not know for sure that this is the case, but if KR is correct, then it would definitely help to try to get some posts in there via other avenues - including yourself!

| Title: Apprentice Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 213 Location: UK ![]() ![]() | I have no expectations what so ever of PF making my forum active. My goal here is to generate some content so that it doesn't look empty, nothing more. When I said I was dissapointed I meant I'm dissapointed in the number of return posts I was getting compared to the number I was making. I made the comment not as a complaint but to confirm what the other poster said about PF not performing well for my site and others. It's improved a little since I made a push to get my forum near the top of the PF list. I think I had only 1 or maybe 2 members from PF before I had got my site to the top. 13% of the members have come from PF and about 33% of the posts.
