We believe that by adding these automated processes to PostFusion, the system will be better balanced. Cap When a balance reaches 250, that owner will not be able to earn any additional credit and will be notified of this via PM. He/she will maintain all current subscriptions, but any posts made at the cap will not count. When subscribers of that forum bring it down below 250, the owner will once again be able to earn credit - up to 250 of course. Floor When a balance reaches -50, all subscribers of that forum will be automatically unsubscribed and notified via PM. This will give the owner time to rebuild his/her balance. When the balance reaches -25, the subscribers will be able to resubscribe and continue posting. In the future we plan to implement an auto-subscription for these ex-subscribers, but as of now you will need to subscribe again manually. With the new cap and floor, we hope to encourage posting only at forums with a positive balance, while preventing any forums from reaching a balance which is out of reach for most other users. If you have any questions or notice something not working properly, please let us know. We do understand that not everybody agrees with this update, but it is something that we strongly felt was a necessity. We still plan to implement more features to help the balance issue in the future, but this should definitely work for the time being. We will also be monitoring the effects of this on the system and balances, and if we find that it is detrimental, it will be reversed.
