After a year long hiatus, Forum of the Month is back and the award for April 2009 goes to India Talks.

India Talks is a community devoted to everything India. There are many different factors that contributed to this forum winning FotM this month. The first we'd like to start with is the design, which is very effective for the forum. The colors are perfect as they are taken from India's flag. The site is very easy on the eyes as all the bright colors are restricted to table headers with the content having a white background and stylish borders.

India Talks has a very specific, yet quite large, target audience and it caters to that audience very well. For a young forum, India Talks has a great amount of activity. There is a wide variety of topics to discuss and each forum still looks active. From Indian television to culture and history, India Talks has everything one might want to discuss about India.

Aside from great forum posts, India Talks has some great additional content. There is an arcade, radio, and several other great modifications. The welcome header is especially well done, really drawing you to look at what the forum offers and really fits with the design. And to top it off, it uses vBSEO which is generally a great help to forums. Lastly, webwizzy does a great job as the sole global moderator with one other local moderator in keeping new members feeling welcome.
