![]() | Feel free to resurrect old threads I run the following six forums: http://forum.ooen.net/ http://forum.ohcnetwork.com/ http://forum.efinancialdistrict.com/ http://forum.yetanotherfcw.com/ http://forum.ecommunitydevelopment.com/ http://forum.ouraltenergy.com/ I notice that PF members mostly reply to relatively new threads, but please feel free to reply to really old threads. I don't mind your resurrecting a year old threads or even older ones. Thanks .

![]() | Oh, one thing I need to mention. Please do not welcome members who signed up before you did. That just doesn't make any sense ...

![]() | yeah, I think it has something to do with very large forums and topics being auto-pruned |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think the problem lies in resurrecting threads that have already served their purpose...It really bothers me when somebody starts a thread looking for help, solves their problem, and then 10 months later somebody comes in and gives advice or says they can fix it...That kind of stuff. If the thread was basically just discussion that could still go on, and the reply is relevant, then it might be ok...although in most situations, it tends to be best (for me) just to start a new thread instead of resurrecting one from 12 months ago. The other thing...many times the problem is not that somebody has resurrected one old thread, but the problem is that somebody just resurrected 10 old threads in one visit. It would have been ok to resurrect one, but it's borderline spam if they're resurrecting random, old threads, almost as if they are trying to find an excuse to be posting.

![]() ![]() | I can be a bit of an organizational freak, so I usually prefer necroposting. If ten people are going to discuss the same topic -- I want it to be in the same thread. |
