Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 165 Location: Canada | If you want people to stick around your forum for more than 30s then get rid of your F-ing "You are using IE dl FF" pop-up. I got it 3 times, twice I clicked the continue without FF, by the third time I said F*** it. Since still over 50% of the internet population uses IE, you are basically pissing off 50% of the people that you want to post on your site. If you insist on people knowing that you prefer FF, then put a small banner at the top of the page instead of putting a redirect or what ever you call it | ||||

He is wondering why he is not getting sign-ups and it is probably because people are getting Intersitials and then leaving. I use FF at home and IE at work. I know that IE pisses some designer off because they don't completely follow the standards but hey, like I said if most people are using it you can't tell them to change. You have to change. It is like telling people that you can't drive a car on your road unless it is diesel because it is cleaner even though the majority of the people that would be driving on said road use gasoline. BTW if I had only got it once when I entered the site it would be different. But everytime I clicked a link I kept getting it. On the homepage, then when I clicked the Forum link, etc... | ||||
