Hi - I would like to advertise this at my site to help you guys grow it, especially since I have many forum site owners by me .. but I was wondering if there is a way to do it with just an individual forum? I have individually-owned forums by me as well and I am wondering if I can offer this service to those forum owner individually. That would change how I announce and word this service obviously, so I wanted to see if it was possible. It would be really fantastic if it was.

I know I can specifiy images, text, script, and other items in the headers of specific forums, so maybe there is a way?

We appreciate you guys being so willing to spread the word - that means a lot

We should all really be working together to get more people into PostFusion...I'm not just saying that in AF's best interest, but yours as well. If you are participating in PF, you know that the more forums you have to choose from the better, and the more people who are in there using PF and posting, the better. So, if you know any forums owners to recruit, you should do it.

Frank - I'm a little bit confused with what you're asking

Sorry, I will be clearer.

I do not want to involve my entire site in the PostFusion service, the main reason being the forums by me are individually-owned. They are run and owned by other people besides me. I am not interested in gaining posts for my site in general per se, with me posting on other sites in exchange, but the individual forums owners with struggling forums may be. So, I am wondering if there is a way for an individual forum by me, like, let's say for examples sake, "Marie's Food Processor" forum, to do an exchange utilizing your service.

Ideally, individual forum owners can have their own account/service set up with you and do their own thing independent of each other just like a typical site in your program does now.

he wants the person that runs a subforum on his forum to be able to use PF. I don't think thats possible, it's either the whole forum or nothing.

Correct...Each installation of PostFusion works with one forum database. When you install PF in your forums, other PF members will be able to earn credit for any posts made anywhere in that same database.

Now, you can always specify that PF users only post in a particular forum by putting that in your forum description here in PF...but there's no guarantee that people will see that, understand it, and follow it.

Not subforums, but forums. My forum site is made up of forums .. just like this site has different forums. I think you are confusing the term forum with forum site. I just mean forums within the forum site. Subforums are within forums.

OK, got ya on the database. I was hoping there was a way to specify the individual forum by me. I guess my only options for those individual forum owners is a manual private, good ol fashioned post exchange. Thanks guys.

Is there an area here for old fashioned post exchanges?

That's not the way the backend db of WowBB works. You would have to modify the db of wowbb to read each forum as a separate db of posts so that each owner would have their own forum so to speak.

PF reads the db and information for posts, there's no way to do it for individual forums unless you did a separate installation for each forum.
