ATTN: PostFusion Users

We have noticed a balance problem in PostFusion as of lately. There are select forums at the top of the list with an incredibly high balance. We encourage users as much as possible to post at these forums before any other, but this is not always the case. I have also taken the initiative to personally post at these forums for no posts in return (so they are like free posts into the system). I will still continue to do so myself, but if PF users continue to post at forums near the middle of the list, this will be a perpetual problem.

What we are thinking about doing is partnering with a paid posting company or two. They could possibly "sponsor" PostFusion. With this and the fact that we would guarantee business for them, we hope to reach reduced prices. We would pay this company to go in and post at the top participating forums to bring down those balances and be assured that our top users receive the posts they deserve. Now, we understand that many paid posting companies have a bad rep, in fact, the industry itself does. We would work very hard to find the best service that we can and assure you that your forum is not flooded with posts and posts of a low quality nature. We cannot guarantee this as the posters we would be working with are not our direct employees, but we would do our best to find only quality companies.

Before doing this, we would like to hear your opinions first as it is something that could heavily impact your forums. Some people do not like paid posting and may opt out of receiving this. If the idea is not favored by the majority, we might not even do it at all...however, if only a few people do not like it or want these in their forums, we will make note not to send the companies your way. Do realize though, if you choose to opt out of this, you risk not receiving as many posts as you would otherwise.

Not sure if I like the idea of AF having to take the cost, it should be all user traded.

Well, I can justify it because it makes PF better. If we can assure that our top balances do in fact receive posts, people will be more inclined to use PF and the system all around will simply be improved and more stable.

We wouldnt dedicate all of our funds to this, of course, but we could dedicate some of them to it. If we find that it doesn't help as much as we had hoped or that the cost is becoming too much, we would stop of course. Also note that this isn't something that will guarantee that nobody will have a high balance...because as you know, it can be quite costly to go out and buy 1,500 posts (which is what would be needed right now to lower everybody to 100 or so)

Well it obviously wouldn't affect me, now anyways but I like the idea. I think that this will help keep more of a balanced list rather than people way down in the gutter. Not including me, since I haven't done anything to raise my balance, yet.

Well, what it would prevent, hopefully, is not huge negative balances, but instead huge positive balances. Right now we have some forums at the top of the list with huge positive balances. We need to find some ways to help them get the posts that they have earned.

Excellent idea, I'd be down for that. I don't see why not.

One way to offset the investment in Paid Posts is for those with negative balances to pay a small portion to get back to zero. Say CPVR doesn't have time to go post at the top forums due to school work or (substitute anything here) whatever. He could "buy" 200 PF credits for $0.0X each, and in turn, that money will goto the PP company who does have time to make posts.
(Am I making sense?)

This might be a good idea. It would depend on the cost. I was -64 at one time. It took sometime, but I was able to get out of the hole. Since I have had some starting to post on my forums. It can bring that balance down pretty quick.

I see the forum that is at the top of PF is hitting 9XX posts. One reason for people not posting there could be age or it is something members here are not to eager to join. Sex is popular, but not everybody wants to join that forum possibly.

Yeah, buying credits is something we have on our to-do list...it's not something we can just implement whenever we want though, as it will require changing the way the system works.
