Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 177  | New threads What seems to be happening is that too many forums do not create new threads (my forums included). I think that forum owners need to create new threads constantly. PF members should also create new threads. This should facilitate more discussions and active participation in PF member forums. Any comment?

However, you cant exactly force people to do this and giving different weight for threads and posts is not plausible either. In the end this is just one of those "common courtesy" things. If all PF users make it a point to start new threads in additional to new posts, then all PF users will benefit.

| I agree, I try to make both new threads and new posts in threads but I think weighting it would be unfair. And it would encourage very pointless threads, something I have experienced in the past...

| I also agree that it should be courtesy but, to be honest, I haven't paid very close attention to my thread / post ratio. I need to do better at tracking that and keeping a nice balance, as I think others should, as well. | ||||
